In the past the idea of a pattern met structure, continuity...normality.
Repeating forms that induce the perception of a solid idea scared me to death.
But, now that I'm old and verging on gray I have discovered the truth...the truth that patterns can actually be criss crossed, jumbled and spliced which in turn leads us into another dimension of organized chaos.
In the final analysis in design as well as human nature, we take the many patterns of life and combine them to reveal our true inherent personality...which is always unique.

You can organized them, make mess or put them into right place! Put them like u love but they will always make a world beautiful spot for living! I adore patterns!

  3. Natas Says:

In the beginning there was only chaos.

  4. Pookie Says:

Art is the imposing of a pattern on experience, and our aesthetic enjoyment is recognition of the pattern.

  5. Blacksanta Says:

Patterns are good and bad. they cause expertise(the good) and predictability(the bad) because of the reoccurance. but u always feel good when u r the architecture for a pattern.

I have a few views about what patterns mean to me. I have nothing against patterns and I think they are quite nice. First, a pattern is something that repeats over and over and over. They can be simple, complex and often, quite interesting to look at. However, there are some patterns that make us all dizzy and nauseous and play with our eyes.

Also, I must not forget life's patterns, which I interpret as what occurs in one's life. Although we are all unique and different, we all go through life's patterns, which are amazing, annoying and always changing.

  8. danaych Says:

Patterns are a form of hypnosis, and they can be both good and bad things. Patterns can draw people's attention to something, but can also bore them. When patterns are complex, they can enrapture but confuse, and when they are simple they can excite but eventually tire. Thus, patterns are sometimes distractions. They can hide the bad--and take away from the good--with their redundancy. But patterns can also be devices for conveyance. Patterns are recoginizable and, when not subconsciously associated with tedium and mundanity, can be used to attract customers toward one product, catching them in an alluring web of reiteration.

  9. Nikotin Says:

It is simple. You have one simple piece multiple many times.
In this case one piece is my sentence "I want one cool shirt for summer fun!", and I multiple it so many times... Until I win! :)

    ..better pattern on screen
    than drawings on paper.

  11. maibae Says:

    There are billions of patterns,
    choose the one!

  12. maibae Says:

Nothing is eternal, only pattern (repeating) is eternal..

  13. jagoda Says:

patters save time which we can spend on inovations

  14. hworks Says:

patterns are the strangest things. i pick up my bicycle in the morning, the 5am breeze brushes over my shoulder, the quiet drone of the bicycle chain announces the awakening of daily sounds, the colours of the bangalore sky rush to greet the sun and i smell the moist morning leaves.. and then, suddenly yet creepily at times, i realise i am a minute yet necessary thread of a very large fabric, a pattern larger than life. without me, the pattern is incomplete, and without the pattern, i am nothing. i am within what i am.

  16. lvnya Says:

Patterns are everywhere. knowingly or unknowingly our eyes seek harmonious patterns all the time, for visual comfort and pleasure. Patterns are synonymous to continuity and vastness. They fill the voids in the environment and our minds.
patterns are repetitive and get engraved in our minds and memories for a very long, long long time. Patterns become prints in the clothes we wear, the landscape of the environment we live in, the scribbles and script that we write on paper, the sequence in which we do things each day and the way all of us are connected to each other at 6 degrees.
A pattern is a great thing because unlike us all, it is immortal and endless.
