Designers: Nuno Lopes
This week we bring you the designer of "Don’t Break My Beat", Nuno Lopes, our special selection winner of Out and About competition. Few quick words about Nuno for the weekend. Enjoy!
What inspires you Nuno?
A little bit of everything that surrounds me, music, skateboard, read graphic design books and research in internet, viewing work of other designers. Preferably vector art.
Who are you favourite artists and why?
Well, to be honest I have no favorite artist, as autodidactic, I have no knowledge of famous artists. Those that I know are from deviantart and behance.net, There are so many that It is difficult for me give you the names.
How do you produce your artworks and what mediums do you use?
First I do a search on an idea that I have to see if this has been done or not and/or how it was done.
Then I draw on paper first and then transfer to computer.
The software that I usually use are Photoshop and Freehand.
One of the things that I also like is to make presentations of the work simulating 3D with Photoshop.
What are the websites you visit regularly and where do you get your inspiration?
- deviantart.com
- behance.net
- designyoutrust.com
- allmightys.com
- lafraise.com
- mangacurta.com
Best site for inspiration is behance.net. We can see great works of great artists.
What do you do when you are not designing?
Rest/sleep, go out with my girlfriend, play PC games, surf the internet, see movies.
What do you think about Allmightys?
I think it's a good site, I could say maybe one of the best in this category that I know, because we see great quality in the works and the fact that you be demanding in the selection/acceptance of them. This is very important for the quality of the site itself.
One detail that is also very good are the themes that you give us to create the t-shirts.
Anything else you would like to add?
I never expected work as designer/illustrator, but I think that was one of the best things that appeared in my life. Sometimes it's a hard work, but it's also addictive and rewarding.
END.
