"Out and About" Update
By: Allmightys Team
The submission time for "Out and About" competition has just ended and there are only few hours left to score designs on Allmightys.
Thank you all for submitting these wonderful designs! We've received a great response and it's exciting to see so different takes there are on the theme. It will be interesting to see how you like the designs once we go through all the votes. Not an easy task but never the less an interesting one as we will be seeing what you liked and what you dissed. We will also speak to our friends at Popdeck.com to see how the designs rated on their site and together decide what is the best design that works both on a board and tee.
So, if you haven't voted yet, now is the time!
SCORE DESIGNS ALLMIGHTYS!
On Monday, we will be announcing the winners and chosen designs for this competition. Please bear with us, a lot to go through. The results will include:
1. Gold Prize (Free Deck + $200 + Free Tee + Allmightys' €2.00 per sold Tee commission)
2. Silver Prize (Free Tee + Allmightys' €1.50 per sold Tee commission)
3. Bronze Prize (Free Tee + Allmightys' €1.00 per sold Tee commission)
+
Special Selections (Free Tee + Allmightys' €1.00 per sold Tee commission)
So, until Monday, keep those comments coming and have a great weekend!

Graffiti Keyboard

Is this the result of us dropping sketchpads and resorting to keyboard and mouse as the only way of capturing ideas? Someone seems to have gone a little too far :)

Allmightys Update
By: Allmightys Team
We have made few tweaks to the site in the last few days which some of you may have noticed. Among the changes is the way the Member Pages are listed. Now you can see members by the latest registration date rather than alphabetically. Another quite major addition is in the shop checkout. You will now notice a postage option for registered postage. Since the beginning of allmightys we always tried to make tv postage as cheap as possible. Recently we've had few problems with some of our packages so now we have trackable postage as an option which is set as a default. Its a little more expensive but way worth it if you are ordering 2 or more tees. Of course if you order 4 or more tees this comes included.
There have also been few other tweaks not worth mentioning that are generally to do with backend management and general system optimisation.
Deadline for submissions and voting is approaching fast. There is now only 2 or so days left to submit and vote so make sure that you cast your votes in time. Votes have been coming in on both Popdeck and Allmightys and it will be interesting to see what happens at the end. Don't forget to get all your friends to vote too but please ask them to objective and score other designs too so we can a good overall picture of what you liked most.
So, until Friday, keep submitting, voting and of course keep shopping!!! :)

Out and About - Update
By: Filip
There are now only few days left to submit your designs for our current "Out and About" competition. The response has been good and, as always, its great to see such diverse response to the theme. Yes, its true, we have gone a little easier on what's related to theme but we love the mix of designs you have submitted. This competition, as you know, is being done in association with Popdeck.com so make sure you submit your designs to both sites to qualify for gold prize. Also don't forget to vote on both sites because we will be looking at both scores for the gold prize. Only one design will be printed on a skateboard deck and it will be exciting to see which design you have liked most. You can get all the templates here and here.
If you haven't voted yet, the submissions are waiting for your votes so sure you visit the voting galleries and tell us how much you like them.
As always, if there are any new features you would like to see on the site or have some suggestions for our future competition themes ..then please let us know. You can use our online form or send an email to us directly at more[at]allmightys.com.Have a great weekend all!!

Colour-shifting roads
By: Kon
As far as it comes to new ideas for the outside, how is this for something in the future? Strips of thermosensitive road varnish are painted on to the street and change colour when the temperature reaches freezing or other dangerous conditions.
Could be useful to pedestrians and motorists alike and is tested in France for durability and usability as we speak, but who knows if this ever reaches serial production.

Friday Animation: Slow Bistro
By: Kon
This week's Friday Animation features Ivan Maximov's 'Slow Bistro'.This film is a very sophisticated cartoon with a nice musical score. The illustrations remind me of Tomi Ungerer a lot, the French illustrator. A bunch of strange characters go to a bistro to dine out and Ivan Maximov cleverly interpreted all the characteristical features of such a get together in this film.

Star Wars Collections
By: Kon
Take a look at Joshua Budich's website which he devoted to his collection of Star Wars figures. His collection, which consists of over 600 figures and took 8 years to collect, started at very early childhood. I think most of us have collected the famous plastic figures at one time or the other, but Joshua certainly deserved the praise of going all the way. On his website there is also a link to his portfolio, which is interesting to look at.

Allmightys Designers
By: Filip
We've had few questions recently from our members about the commissions system and how all that works. We thought it would be a great post to address some of those issues including a few words about the relationship we have with our designers...after all, without them there would be no Allmightys. So here we go...
1. When your design wins/is selected we send you a welcome email to the team. We also request their info for their own designer pages including images of their work and some text about themselves. Our customers love reading about the designers and these pages are crucial for customers to understand where the ideas come from.
2. We then discuss any details there are about their design and if there any special requirements/issues to do with the design. In some cases we make slight adjustments to the design (if necessary) ourselves but if we feel the change is major we always consult with our designers.
3. The design is then printed and as soon as it is in the store we notify our designers.
4. When the sales start coming in, of course, all sales are recorded and stored in our system. At the same time, we monitor all visits to the tee product pages as well as designer profiles. The designer profiles and tees are promoted on the front page.
5. We scan the web for postings/writings about the tees. We also promote them on t-shirt blogs, clothing sites and many other social networks including myspace, behance, humblevoice and others. If we find some interesting articles about designer's tee we make sure we send them an email and a link.
6. Every quarter (one has just passed) we send our designers something we call "Designer Reports" where we lay out how many tees have been sold, how many views they've had - to their profiles as well as their tees and of course how much money they have earned this quarter. We also offer to make payments to the designers via PayPal for all figures below €50.00 or bank transfers to any account in the world.
7. We involve our designers into Allmightys developments as much as possible. This includes site feature development, designing competition banners, anniversary tees, etc..
We hope this gives you an overall idea of how Allmightys Team works with their designers. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to drop us a line. We love answering your questions however silly they can sometimes be..here is one:
“Can I submit a design after the deadline?”
hehe
So wait no more and submit your wonderful designs. We want you on our Team!!
If you would like to read more about Allmightys Designers then visit our Designer pages..some incredible work there.

Friday Animation: The Colour Keeper
By: Kon
In this weeks Friday animation we bring you a short stop-motion animation called The Colour Keeper. It's the sad story of a guy who's hands are too big for him to become an artist. A little melodramatic perhaps, but nicely animated and a fitting soundtrack. I love the noises the little balls of colour make :)
