Wasted Paper

By: kon

via Charles & Marie

"This is a new stylish Wastepaper Basket for the contemporary office, designed by Swedish Gabriella Gustafson & Mattias Ståhlbom. Globalization starts with getting the details right. The ISO standard paper size system covers a wide range of formats, but not all of them are widely used in practice. Among all formats, A4 is clearly the most important one for daily office use. The ISO paper sizes are based on the metric system. Using standard paper sizes saves money and makes life simpler in many applications. The Waste Paper basket varies in different sizes and all of them carries the dimensions from the A4-system. It is made out of laser cut and bent sheets of metal. They come in the same colors as the standard garbage bags carries."

Charles and Marie

By: kon

Charles and Marie is an online get-together of experiences and products from around the globe. The idea is based on the old Question: "Oh cool, where did you get that?" The answer is a collective of lifestyle products from all over the world that are available to the customer for a limited amount of time. Also featuring is a personal tell-tale of visited places, hotels and sights...

It's a fun page to browse through and check out some of the funky items. I especially like the "soupe de jour" idea- one item for each day of the week, like a restaurant menu. Nice idea!

Have a look here and maybe you'll find something...
