The Wayback Machine

By: Kon

Wouldn't you sometimes like to see what a certain site looked like in it's early days?

Here's the tool to do that: the Wayback Machine. A cool site that archives a site's appearance in certain intervals since the beginning. Can be useful at times and it's certainly fun to see how some sites have developed and changed over the years...

Allmightys certainly looks different since the early days ;)

oSkope

By: Kon

Here is "a visual search assistant that allows for intuitive exploration of popular online databases, including Amazon, Ebay, Flickr or YouTube. All search results are ordered as a “grid“, “stack“, “pile“ or “list“ through which users can browse & store favourites in a personal folder. in addition, a simple scatterplot representation depicts the results in terms of popularity & price (Amazon), price versus duration (Ebay) & ranking versus date (YouTube)."

looks useful for browsing as well as a detailed search, as you can obtain useful information about the articles straight through oSkope.

Obsolete Technology

By: Kon

Welcome to the Obsolete Technology Website.

This is a fun page to browse through. Next to a detailed page for most expired models, you can find old ads, compare the specs of old computers and find lots of links to similar sites. You can follow early models through the timeline of computer development and trace the way of computers back to the dawn of time (well, back to 1970 in this case ;))

walk2web

By: Kon

Among all the navigation sites on the net, this one must be ranking high above all others!

walk2web is a lot of fun to browse through: the graphic animations are cool (the little foot that does the walking) and it gives you a good overview to all the links on your site. The latest posts are uploaded automatically and in the site window you have all the digg, stumble upon and del.icio.us links that you need.
You can also increase/ decrease the rating of the site that you're looking at...
Only problem seems to be displaying flash files.

Very cool!!  check it out here...

We have included a new friends link on the page: swiss outfit Straightinyourface.

Straightinyourface.net is a communal online project done by three swiss graphic artists and designers. These guys work all aspects of drawing and design and experiment with all materials and techniques available to them.
"Felix Schlatter, Daniel Bär and Mathias Truniger will present some surprises, and these will be Straight In Your Face!"

I like their site a lot: plenty of interesting projects to browse through and a substantial amount of work ranging from Illustration, design, typo and motion...
