Competition Update

By: Allmightys Team

Here's an update on our current competition Future-Past-Perfect.
We're a little more than half way now and the submissions keep coming in. It's a very diverse range of designs, as designers respond to the idea of past and present, reality and utopia. If you haven't, check out and score the submitted designs here...

Remember, the deadline for submitting designs is 25th August 2008, 23.00 GMT.
After this point, as usual, we have one more week of voting. The deadline for this is 29th August 2008, 23.00 GMT.

Keep the good work coming and cast your votes, so the best designs will be printed :)

Allmightys Mini-Contest: Winner!

By: Allmightys Team

We have a winner!

We asked you to write about "the future as imagined in the past" in the form of a comment to this post....and the winner is:
"
I figure it'll turn up. This is attempt #2. Let me know when you get this, because I've got to do some Christmas shopping soon. I can't trade in my gold bars for extra Christmas shopping cash since Nixon closed the gold window a few months ago, you know. Ha! I figured for the ceremonial first attempt, I'd write a grand message about how weird things would be decades into the future. So I wrote a message about how people will cook food with invisible micro rays and talk to each other with telephones the size of a stick of gum. What else - something about entire computers small enough to fit on top of your desk and everybody has one and uses it to talk to each other. Oh, and the Red Sox will win the world series. Twice! You know I love my Sox!

If I don't hear from you about this electronic mail, I'll call you like I did after the first try. I figure that message is off somewhere. Curling through circuits, the electrons still properly ordered, weaving its way through carpet static and car-door shocks. Someday it'll arrive on a machine that renders my crazy message to those living in the future itself. I know it can't have just disappeared down into this machine, as advanced as it is. It's out there somewhere. It'll turn up.

"

We'll be getting in touch shortly for your two free t-shirt of choice from our store.

Many thanks to all that have submitted comment. We hoped for more but never the less those that submitted were absolutley wonderful. It is always hard to pick the winners here but as in the words of Gregory Widen there can be only one!

Make sure you check out current competition that inspired this mini-contest. We've had some fantastic entries so make sure you cast your votes. If you are the designing kind, then we are waiting for your submission! For more details, go here.

Sweatshop T-Shirt Exhibition in Breda

By: Kon

I'd like to take the chance to publish a few photos that were sent to me by Rob of staynice, one of the guys organizing this year's 'Sweatshop' T-Shirt graphic design exhibition. The actual exhibition, which ran in correspondence with the Breda Graphic Design Festival, closed at the end of June. According to Rob, the show was a big success and companies from all over the globe had their stuff on display. Needless to say, Allmightys was there too with a few shirts on display ;)

I think the guys did a brilliant job with the organization, design and display of the whole thing. I was really impressed and hope this won't be the only time we can show your work on our shirts in Holland or elsewhere!!

"Pattern Battle" Update

By: Allmightys Team

There is now a little over 5 days left to submit designs for our current "Pattern Battle" competition. The response has been best yet and with over 110 submissions there is a lot to score. We've really had a great variety of ideas and it's great to see all the different approaches to the theme.
We think this may be the hardest competition to select the winners just because the sheer variety of them. This is why we need you! We need you to vote and comment as many designs as you can so we can decide which designs should win. If you like particular design and you really want to see it printed then get your friends and your grandma to vote too! The great designs need your votes!

Submissions close this coming Monday (23rd June) at 23.00 GMT. We then have few more days to collect as many votes and comments as possible. The voting will then close on Friday (27th) again at 23.00 GMT and we have the weekend to go over all your votes and comments. The winners will be announced on Monday 30th June.

As always, we then move onto printing the designs as soon as possible. Every winning designer will receive a copy of their design and commissions from each and every sale.

5 days and counting! Get those submissions in!

We are also currently in the process of preparing our next competition. We are going through the list of themes we have noted and some of you suggested and hope to finalise it any day now. We also need to pick a charity that needs our help. If you have ideas, then please let us know. We are always looking for charities that can benefit from our regular donations.

With every new competition, comes a new Mini Contest. This is when we give away few t-shirts to our regular blog readers. All we ask in return is a comment in the blog. More about this as the new competition launches so if you fancy some free tees then make sure you keep you regularly check out the blog.

There are also quite a few exciting other things brewing in Allmightys factory. We can't reveal anything yet but rest assured its very, very, cool.

All in all, as always, exciting times are ahead. Love having you on board.
Long live T-Shirts!! :)
