With this post, we want to keep you up to date of the printing progress of the recent 'TypeTastic' competition winners, so here's what's been happening:
During the past week I have made several trips to our printers in Berlin Kreuzberg to check the colours, look at the testprints of the designs and generally make sure they all turn out the way we and you want them...and they have all turned out just as we expected!
Today and tomorrow they are being labelled and ready to be picked up on thursday...

We'll be doing some photos of the shirts being worn later this week before we include them into our shop in time for Christmas on the weekend!!

Once again, it was great to see your amazing designs being printed and watch the whole process. Check out the images to see how they were done...

Elina Arapoglou, a.k.a. Kanella is one of our designers from the first hour. For our second 'Mother Nature' competition, she contributed the gorgeous design 'Ceci n'est pas une Pèche' which is beautifully drawn and composed and includes that lovely ironic quotation of the Belgian surrealist painer René Magritte.

Kanelly has recently launched her updated website www.kanella.com!  The site is beautifully designed- it's easy to navigate through and has a great quality of a professional appearance with a personal touch. Among some examples of her recent work, it also includes a shop.

Kanelly currently works in Athens, Greece and teaches graphic design at the Technological Educational Institute in Athens.

The weekly badge review comes with some good news for all of you Prickie artists and costumers: Prickie.com has a new owner Buttonorder.de is one of the biggest button manufacturer in Europe. They will care about the Prickie service in the future. They loved the Prickie site all the time and now they´re happy to own this great service. Prickie.com will be alive in the future! 

We have just added Percy's profile to the designer pages. Percy is our TypeTastic Competition special selection winner with his w+p+d+t  design. The design is currently in print and should be soon available in the store.

My full name is Percival Lowell Bright, but I go by "Percy". My path to graphic design hasn't been a short one. I graduated in three years from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in Classical Studies and a concentration in Greek and Latin Language and Literature. Read more.

A new competition is under way!

To celebrate our second anniversary (January 7th), we are launching an open ideas competition and IT'S ALL ABOUT...everything and anything. Open and as wild as your imagination.

We want you to inspire, conspire, motivate and amaze!!

We are working hard on trying to bring you the latest winners. Matching colours, talking to printers, finalising artwork, setting up delivery dates, preparing the site and much more ...for the fresh new tees!

The voting period for our latest ‘TypeTastic’ competition ended on Friday night and today we want to publish the result!! As always, a big thanks goes out to all you designers who took part in this competition!

If you followed all the designs as they came in, we're sure you agree that this theme was taken on and interpreted from every possible angle with some remarkable results, and we thought this to be real challenging topic. From the theoretical approach of typography to a detailed composition of single letters, from creating your own fonts to a more abstract view of things, we have it all here :)


The variety is, as always, impressive. We feel the winning designs show this clearly!
