Not sure how new, but this Converse site got me really excited. Among the great choice of different models, for $60 you can actually also build your own "converse one". The only thing missing is that you can't upload you own images but other than that a fantastic way to come up with very individual designs.

MAKE have posted a really cool guide on how to make a messenger bag out of bin bags.  I love the idea of making my own bag although using bin bags is not really eco-friendly considering you have so many other shopping bags sitting in your kitchen (as they point out in the guide). The truth is though that the black bag they made does look a lot cooler than having one with TESCO or SAINSBURY written all over it.

Here is a great little tutorial on how to print your own tees....alo very useful to understand the actual process of silkscreen printing. I also love the way they go few steps further and install LED lights and speakers into the shirt ...fantastic!

In children’s stories, animals always mean magic. They are wonderful and ordinary. They talk and wear clothes and sometimes they go to school, and so, growing up, surrounded by these sorts of friends, you have the sense that almost anything can happen to you. The older you get, though, the more it seems that all of that magic has gone off, somewhere else maybe. I decided to take my artwork off the wall and out of the frame, and to put these images of everyday mysteries onto cards, and handbags, and t-shirts, so that everyone could have something a little bit pretty and a little bit strange to add to their day.
