By The artist:
Cambieure was where my drawing and painting first came alive. My work became part of the adventure I was experiencing. I’d always been an artist but it wasn’t until France that I learned how to really show my life and its surroundings through my paintings.
With such nature and beauty everywhere I watched the countryside change around me – the irises announcing the arrival of Spring, the bright sunlight reflecting off village roofs and the buzz of activity that came with the harvest.
I found that the clarity, colour and light I had discovered in Cambieure was hidden everywhere in London. From the bridges of the Thames to the imposing buildings of the city, all so impressive yet so often overlooked.
