While attending the International Academy of Design and Technology in Chicago, IL Joe found his love of vector art. After getting his Associates in Graphic Design Joe begain to work as a Graphic Design for a small design firm in Hammond, IN – Moran Design, while working their he went back to school at the Illinos Institute of Art in Chicago for his Bachelors in Visual Communication, this was a big turning point for Joe’s career, with more education, experience and knowlegde opened more doors. He begain to freelance and started a new 9-5 with the Community Foundation of Northwest Indiana, which has one of the largest Healthcare Systems in Northwest Indian. As a Graphic Designer he has worked on many projects that has impacted the system in a postive way. In his personal time he creates illustrations like the ones shown here, the most noteable one is his letter form series, which has gotten much praise and recongition on the web. The series stems from the birth of his first son, Meryck Robert Gonzalez, which each poster is ancored by a letter from his name. They started out as studies of composition and color and quickly became a style that he has deveolped.

A few bits about Joe:
* first introduced to design when he was 10 by his fathers silk screening business, which he spent hours on in with the type setter and fathers best friend.
* is Thai and Mexican but hates the smell of both after its been cooked.
* once lived in Las Vegas for two years
* has had 16 different jobs in 10 years
