Hi my name is Davide Ricciardiello "Rocciuto" for friends, i was born in Naples in the '72. I grew up amongst oil colors and the smell of turpentine. Both my parents are artists, and they have always been my inspiration and my
reference point.
I attended an Artistic Highschool and the School of Painting at Fine Arts Academy of Venice. Painting would have been my great passion if i had not abandoned it for computer graphics which at the time seemed a much more solid prospect for the future. Actually i have always liked computers, ever since they first appeared on the scene. In fact i began playing around with
designs on an Amiga that i borrowed from a friend, up until then computers were synonymous of video games as far as I was concerned. I have always drawn but I cannot claim that i have ever been very productive, so many ideas just left in the corner of a sheet of paper, many just forgotten, others waiting to come to life under another form. I worked for a few years as a freelancer. I did any job that turned up, and some of the work I'm not necessarily proud of. With time I specialized in 3D graphics with modeling and rendering programs, and most recently, to meet demands, I learned to use also AutoCAD for purely technical drawing. At the moment I am employed by a company as a Graphic Artist and Technical Designer, and therefore sacrificing creativity for the sake of productivity. Allmightys, which I discovered only recently, has been an opportunity for me to return to a more carefree form of graphic design, and, in a certain sense, it is a little like painting on canvas.
